Burner Magazine/ Burner Records/ brings you the newest, sexiest, and popping Dance/Rock/Electronica/House night featuring the hottest Dj's, Producers, and Bands on the wheels of steal, for monday nights you will never forget!
CHERRY BOMB is a hot, flirty dance-your-ass-off club party for queer women and friends, exploding the second-to-last Saturday monthly at Andy Poolhall (with occasional spontaneous combustions at other venues throughout the year).
Toronto has long been a focal point for an incredibly diverse queer party scene. This progressive city that witnessed Canada's first legal gay marriage is also known for hosting some of the most amazing queer events in the country.
At the height of this vibrant and eclectic club scene is CHERRY BOMB. Named after a song by ‘70s all-girl rock group The Runaways, CHERRY BOMB is Toronto's hottest and best-loved queer women's party (as voted in Xtra! Magazine’s 2007 and 2008 reader’s polls). The super popular event has a rep of being such a fun, sexy, sweaty dance party – filled with up-for-it, music-loving queers - that the dancefloor is packed from open to close.
While CHERRY BOMB is at its heart a queer women's event, it has an open door policy to gay men, trans folks and all of our queer-positive friends who want to be where the action is. Adored by its loyal fans and followers, who refer to attending the event as ‘Bombin' tonight,’ CHERRY BOMB's rep has spread to spawn tours, tees, hats and a double mixed CD.
CHERRY BOMB co-founders, Denise Benson and Cozmic Cat, are two multi award winning DJs with years of experience rocking dance floors in Canada, the USA, Australia and Puerto Rico. Their combined musical tastes and expertise make Coz and DB a dynamic DJ duo many agree to be the best in the city. Both have the ability to ignite ANY crowd with a tightly mixed, booty-shaking blend of house, electro, hip-hop, soul, rock, reggae and where ever the mood and the crowd take them. Their fresh mix keeps more than 500 party people bumpin’ and jumpin’ each month.

What is Flave-ing you ask?
it is a modern version of what you used to call Rave-ing without all the things we have realized should stay in the 90's (like glow sticks, vicks vaporub, back rub chains and candy necklaces) and bring back all the of things that have been forgotten over the years (like art, creativity, passion and knowledge about the music, community and being part of a movement, something you believe in and are proud to be a part of)
We are a label of producers, Djs, visual artists from all over the world and Flavorite is own and managed by Lori J Ward aka The Hifi Princess who was there to see the essence of what the culture actually was and knows just what to do to get that back. Lori was one of the first female Djs in Canada and was an integral part of building the electronic music scene on the west coast from 1994 til her departure to London in 1997 where she set off the learn everything that was required to do the job she needed to do. Now she is located in Toronto, Canada and is ready to put all the information and knowledge to good use..
Along with her she has brought her partner and fiance T.Orlando who is the genius behind the sound for flavorite producing, doing sound design for our artists and mastering our music with his special flavor that you feel everytime you hear something from the flavorite label. Diversity and International flair is something she feels gives a fresh feeling to events so joining them for his debut in Canada is Flavorite Artist Patrick K. You might have heard his music already and not even known it as Djs from Toronto and surroundings like Deko-ze, Mike Conradi, Dj Jace, Jonathan David, Noah Pred, Josh Switchbass and Jay Hamilton have been either charting, supporting, spreading good feedback or playing in the clubs here in the city.
We are excited and proud to invite you to our first label night this side of the ocean. Flavorite label nights have been filling clubs in countries like Austria, Slovenia, Croatia, and Slovakia for the past couple years and have been a vital part of pushing the movement forward in eastern europe.
After spending 5 years living in NYC and 10 years in europe Lori knew it was time to go home and is so happy to be back in her home country working with her long time musical friends and being once againn part of Canada's electronic Music Movement. LET'S GO and:
FLAVE THE WORLD!!!!!
Hosted by Robb G and friends. Funky house and filthy bass to make your shake your rump.
Robb G is literally "in" the music when he's on stage, dripping with sweat as he screams at the crowd, possessed by the music while he throbs in a head banging body thrash. After seeing him live, there is no questioning that Robb G is a man who truly loves what he does. Known for his speedy beatmatching and continuously layered mixing, he's performed in Europe and from coast to coast in North America, appearing in over 40 cities on his native continent.
Robb G has had releases and remixes on over a dozen labels in the last decade. His 12 Inch Therapy single received tremendous acclaim, making its way to the top of URB, iDJ, and Mixmag's Best Of 2008 lists. It hit the number 12 spot on the UK buzz charts and became the number 1 most requested song on Sirius Radio's Boombox Channel for the entire year. It is no surprise that the Plump DJs named him alongside Justice and Switch when asked who the most exciting producers are.
With his current releases being played by the likes of Kissy Sell Out, Lee Mortimer and DJ Dan, a second full-length album already in the works and a 2010 touring schedule that will take him to the 4 corners of North America and abroad, it's a real special treat to catch Robb G in the intimate Andy Poolhall environment.

However after some time & Influence from different clubbing events Josh would attend , he quickly felt a growing urge to try other genres , exploring Techno first as it was always a personal favorite for many years , then Electro & Fidget House , and this was around the time Josh Met Claire Wonk , CEO of Wonked Records (UK) The two quickly realized that they worked very well together , developed a plan to run a club night in Toronto , and give the Wonked Records fans out here an opportunity to explore the many amazing Bass heavy Genres in electronic Music today.
